Why is Nigeria full of 'not credible people'? Gov. Ortom says Buhari is the only credible 2019 presidential candidate out of 170m people.
Sycophancy on steroids or straight from the heart talk?
“...Now we see him bouncing every day to the glory of God, we appreciate this and we look forward that God will help him to take us through 2015 to 2019 and then 2019 to 2023 – that is our prayer because for now there is no credible candidate as far as I know that has the capacity to take Nigeria out of where we are today..." - Gov. Samuel Ortom of Benue State

Ortom (L) and PMB
Background
- He made the statement after a meeting with Buhari in Aso rock on Tuesday 17 October, 2017.
Our take on the matter
- Buhari has not even finished first term he is talking of a second term.
- Is Ortom trying to show us he is a foward thinker? Unfortunately, the electorates who will determine Buhari's fate in 2019 if he decides to go for a second term are backward thinkers when it comes to voting.
- They will look back and see what the last four years was like for them and decide if they want a continuation of the change or not.
Conclusion
- Once upon a time, on NTA, there was a popular advert...'the man who the cap fits'. Today both the man and the cap are history.
- Once upon the same time, there was a million man march for the 'most credible' presidential candidate. Eventually, the man marched to yonder.
Therefore, PMB, please beware of sycophants in different colorations.
