Next time don't feel insulted when someone tells you to use your discretion, he is simply asking you to be like God.

Jeremiah 10:12 (KJV) He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.

Like begets like. God exercised his discretionary powers in creation and the result? He made all things beautiful in his time according to Ecclesiastes 3:11.

Here are some of the reasons you need to exercise your God given discretion;

1. It will help you effectively manage your life. Psalms 112:5 A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

2. Preservation from evil and also from the decadence the world is experiencing right now. Proverbs 2:11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee.

3. It keeps you from being foolish because anger lies in the bosom of fools (Ecc 7:9) but (Proverbs 19:11) The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.

4. It preserves your self worth Nothing is more calamitous than a person with no self worth. Proverbs 11:22  As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Ask yourself...do I have discretion at all?

Do have a God-full day.
