Daily Word Tonic 16/10/2017 - Direct your fear instincts appropriately. "Fear Well"

Abayomi G. Omotayo

"Fear not" or "Do not be afraid" is a commandment and not an admonition from God.

He told Joshua to be strong and courageous. In Isaiah 41:10,14 (KJV) he commanded Isreal his people (and every believer by extension because we are his people, the sheep of his pasture as well) saying "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness...Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel".

Do not be afraid of man, situations and circumstances according to
Psalms 118:6 (KJV) The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? This is corroborated by Hebrews 13:6.

BUT
Feat God. Fear in this context is spurred by your love for him and the desire to obey his commandments therefore you always want to please Him. This has tremendous benefits including but not limited to;

1. It is the antidote for foolishness because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 9:10.
2. It brings all round wellness and blessings, fruitfulness and trans-generational successes. Psalm 112 and 128.

God has not given you the spirit of fear but of love, power and sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7 therefore it's time to stop being afraid of man and stuff rather " fear well" by loving God with a your heart.

Do have a God-full day.
