1Peter 2:9-10 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Among many other redemptive rights, privileges and blessings Jesus Christ conferred on you as a believer, the above scripture highlights the fact that you are now a 'person of light'.
1. This confers unquestionable dominion on you over every power of darkness... John 1:5 (KJV) And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. Are you using this redemptive right to your advantage or you still allow the devil to take advantage of you?
2. This makes you a force to be reckoned with anywhere you find yourself and not a mediocre. A great positive influencer and not a perpetually obscured, pathetic entity. NO! In doubt? See what the scriptures say about you... Matthew 5:14 -16 (KJV) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
