CHRIS MSANDO, HEAD OF IT AT KENYA'S ELECTORAL COMMISSION HACKED TO DEATH PERHAPS BECAUSE 'THEY' COULDN'T HACK THE IT SYSTEM ?

Chris Msando, murdered head of IT at Kenya's Electoral Commission

Background
  • General elections are scheduled to be held in Kenya on 8 August 2017.
  • Reports say that Chris Msando was tortured and an arm was missing. He must have been killed in a very horrific way.
  • He had the encryption codes that would ensure the integrity of results transmitted from the polling stations to the electoral commission's headquarters.
Our take on the matter
  • We used 'perhaps' in the title of this story because it could be a possibility, we are not sure, we do not have the facts, we are only musing.
  • Since he held the encryption codes, manipulation of results would have been impossible if he chose not to compromise.
  • 'They' in the title could mean anyone or group of people in government or the opposition or even those unrelated to the election. Maybe his death is just an happenstance and not related to the up coming elections.
Conclusion
  • There will be so many musings like ours and so many conjectures and conspiracy theories UNTIL the government and the police give people the answers. This case is not just important to Kenya but to the whole of Africa, a continent often marred by election violence.
  • Kenya, Will Chris Msando get justice?
