Thanks to Henry, now we know Kanu Nwankwo was a tough guy in the dressing room.

Background
  • Commenting on Mesut Ozil's complacent attitude, Henry said the lack of leaders in the dressing room accounts for this else Ozil would have buckled up and inferred that if it were during his time, Ozil's lackadaisical attitude would not have been tolerated. Below are his statements.
  1. “He can clearly play and last year everyone was praising him. This year he is struggling because he doesn’t do enough on a daily basis,”
  2. “In my old team, everyone talked. Sylvain Wiltord talked. Edu the same. Even Nwankwo Kanu would have said something, though he doesn’t talk much. Jens Lehmann, he was talking all the time. We had guys at it throughout the team.”

Our take on the matter

  • So Thiery Henry just discovered that the present Arsenal team lack leadership? That is what you have when a certain Arsene Wenger keeps buying boys instead of men.
Conclusion
  • Arsenal doesn't only need leaders in the dressing room and on the field, they need an overhaul of the coaching crew (we didn't mention anybody's name)
