'Ordinary' Senate committee? When even the Presidency is not known by him - Again, suspended SGF, Babachir Lawal shuns senate's invitation

Background

• The recently suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) was given another chance today to come and clear is name on allegations of ethical misconduct. He was said to have awarded contracts for cutting grass to a company where he is a director.
• Alas! he did not show up.

Our take on the matter

• If the man had the guts to ask 'who is the presidency' then the Senate Committee must be too small for him to appear before them. 'Abi'?

Conclusion

• In Nigeria, seemingly strong men abound every where but unfortunately our institutions are weak. Imagine the US Congress inviting a government official and he repeatedly shuns the invitation.
