Forget all those small boy ATMs with N150k daily withdrawal limit, NNPC and NAPIMS are the real deal

Ayo Oke, DG NIA |
Background
We learnt from thecable.ng that;
- NIA (National Intelligence Agency) collected $289m cash from NAPIMS (National Petroleum Investment Management Services) account in 2015.
- NAPIMS is a subsidiary of NNPC
- The $50m found in the Ikoyi apartment which allegedly belongs to the NIA director's wife (Folasade Oke) is believed to be part of this money.
- It was also from NNPC accounts that office of the national security adviser then headed by Col. Sambo Dasuki withdrew the bulk of the $2.1 billion it got for “Boko Haram operations” in the months leading to the 2015 elections.
Our take on the matter
- Considering the long queues and the incessant 'unable to dispense cash' message at ATMs across the country, it's about time that NNPC starts deploying ATMs to ease the suffering of Nigerians, sometimes under the scorching sun, queueing up to get money from ATM they are not even sure will dispense cash when it gets to their turn.
Conclusion
- Nigeria is a mind blowing experience in itself
