Background
- The Kaduna state house of assembly have passes the Pre-medical Examination Bill 2017 on Thursday 20 April. 2017.
- The bill makes it mandatory to undergo medical screening twice before marriage. 3 months and 2 weeks to the wedding.
- The penalty for breaking this law is a fine of “not less than One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100.000.00) or imprisonment of not less than six (6) months or both."
