When ordinary civilians wear military camouflage, Nigerian Army goes berserk but when Governor Yahaya Bello does same, 'notin dey happen' because 'Power pass power'?

Background

  • In Nigeria, wearing military regalia by civilians attract the wrath of the military. God save you if they 'catch you for corner', inhuman treatment and physical abuse will be your portion even though they often times deny this.
  • As a matter of fact a crippled man was almost beaten to death in Onitsha, Anambra state by some over zealous soldiers because he wore military camouflage.
  • Governor of Kogi state (pictured above) recently wore a full military regalia to  an event at the Air Force Military School, Jos, Plateau State, where the governor had attended the Air Force Annual Sports Festival.
Our take on the matter
  • In Nigeria, what is good for the goose is not necessarily good for the gander.
Conclusion
  • For your sake, whatever your aspirations in Nigeria, let being rich and powerful top that list. Legally though else EFCC comes for you.
